**Frank Fritz, Star of 'American Pickers,' Passes Away at 60**
Frank Fritz, known for his role on the History Channel’s antiques show “American Pickers,” has died at the age of 60, as confirmed by his co-host and the show’s creator, Mike Wolfe. Wolfe shared the news on his Facebook page, stating that Fritz passed away on Monday. He reflected on their long friendship, describing Fritz as “a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny.”
“Frank was the same off-camera as he was on-screen; he had a unique way of connecting with people just by being himself,” Wolfe noted. “We shared countless adventures, and I feel blessed to have been by his side during his final journey.”
CNN has reached out to Fritz’s manager for additional information, but the cause of death has not been confirmed. This news follows an announcement made by Wolfe two years ago regarding Fritz's hospitalization after suffering a stroke.
Fritz starred alongside Wolfe on “American Pickers,” which premiered in 2010 and followed the duo as they traveled the country in search of valuable antiques to restore and sell.
In a statement, a representative for the History Channel and Cineflix Productions expressed their sorrow, saying, “We are saddened to share that our friend and cherished member of The HISTORY Channel and American Pickers family, Frank Fritz, passed away on September 30, 2024. Frank filmed American Pickers for over a decade and will always be remembered as ‘the bearded charmer’ with an endless passion for vintage motorcycles and bikes. Our thoughts are with Frank’s loved ones during this difficult time; he will be deeply missed.”
